On April 27th, we were excited to welcome students from Quincy and North Quincy High Schoolers to HPIE Day. Our topic was intergovernmental organizations. Our guest speaker was Professor Jens Blom-Hansen, a visiting scholar from Aarhus University in Denmark, who spoke about the European Union. Students were broken into groups and each group created an intergovernmental organization to address a problem in the world today. Students worked on policy, design, and social media campaigns to create an organization which was then presented to the group at large. All students in attendance then got to vote for the top three organizations. Congratulations to the students who worked on Ocean Pollution, Refugee, and Child Protection organizations.
